Learnings from Holiday 2010 for 2011
Online holiday shopping is turning into a year-round endeavor for consumers - and a year-round challenge for marketers.
Here are a few holiday e-commerce trends we noticed last year:
- Over 1/3 of consumers start their holiday shopping by May.
- Last year holiday shopping produced six days in which online sales hit one billion dollars (up from three in 2009).
- 70% of smartphone owners use their phones in-store while holiday shopping.
