The Story

To celebrate the arrival of BT Infinity 2 super-fast broadband, the flatmates take you through an interactive 360 tour of their flat and show you how they use the benefits of mega-fast "internets".

We knew that viewers of this ad needed to be able to browse through the rooms seamlessly and without any delay – in both directions. Plus, users would be able to pause the ad, so it needed to look good in every frame. So we created this using Adobe Flash, because it gave us the edge in technical capabilities we needed. Adobe After Effects was used for post-processing to create a layer of 3D animations in each room, keeping in tune with the themes of the four rooms.

The Results

Besides Joe’s room being the most popular and users being pretty interested in what Anna was doing on her laptop, this interactive tour outperformed other DoubleClick creatives by beating the benchmark on two occasions: the Average Interaction Time increased by a massive 34% and the Interaction Rate was almost four times higher. This masthead was a definite win.
