The Story

Peugeot has a mission not only to produce safe cars, but also to educate its consumers about responsible driving. In Brazil, an increasing number of accidents are occurring as a result of drivers texting on their phones and tablets. Our goal was to warn drivers about this dangerous behavior in an impactful and original way. We developed an interactive ad that actually simulates the dangers of texting while driving.

We created an interactive ad where the readers of the digital magazine Quatro Rodas not only participated in the ad, but also experienced a simulated crash — a surprising reminder of the possible consequences of texting while driving. Thanks to mobile technology, we created more than just an ad — we created an engaging experience.

The Results

As soon as the ad aired in the digital edition of the magazine Quatro Rodas (with over 50,000 subscribers), a number of comments began to appear on social networks. Peugeot in Brazil received more than 200 emails praising the action. In the future, we hope that people become aware of the dangers and risks, and stop texting while driving.
