The Story

The Last of UsTM is the latest PlayStation®3 exclusive title from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE). Set 20 years after a virulent fungus pandemic has ravaged the human population, the game takes players on an evocative journey of survival through a radically transformed world. Tapping into this rich storytelling, Biborg supported the digital launch campaign by producing an innovative and immersive campaign across desktop, mobile, tablet and digital out of home.

Skins and rich interactive formats propel the user through the devastated world of the game and show just what it means to survive in a reality where the rules are constantly challenged. The interactive gallery was fully developed in HTML5 for multi-device compatibility, and it was also necessary to create all the content, find the original photos and produce the matte paintings, providing a panel of units for each screen type.

The Results

We wanted this campaign to be both event-driven and easily adaptable, with a section for each existing digital media, and it was a real pleasure to tweak every detail to do justice to the fantastic game. The success of the campaign has exceeded expectations, with the work produced for Europe also used overseas and in Japan.
