This year saw 75 contenders compete for the most engaging Ramadan ad. Content varied from heartwarming videos centered around family and friends to humorous ads ultimately uplifting Ramadan spirits.
The winner of the 2017 Lantern went to Orange Egypt. Their YouTube campaign was tremendously successful in driving high viewership, engagement, and retention amongst all candidates. Humor, tradition, and popular persona were tied together through clever use of special effects which further accentuated the insight and popularity of the ad. Showcasing the scarcity of time during Ramadan proved to strongly resonate amongst the YouTube audience.
We are pleased to present the top 10 finalists, in random order, for The Lantern Award that showcased true creativity.
