Rather than creating yet another social media campaign, we wanted to make a digital product based on social that could live on and eventually generate sales. KLM Travelpredictions is a digital service delivering targeted travel predictions based on your Facebook interest graph. The service is launched in 25 markets and is now earning revenue from actual sales.

A travel planner that knows where you want to go.

Using the digital footprints you leave on Facebook, we are able to ‘predict’ a future travel destination based on the interest graph. We used the Facebook API and also Frommers, which is a database covering thousands of events globally, matching and presenting in a fun, joyful manner.

The Results

Initially launched in the Nordics, this service is now globally engaging more than 100 countries. It was a dream-vision to create sales based on predictions but KLM are getting actual bookings from the service.
