Smarter Digital City 4.0: Accelerating with AI

For the past three years, Google Hong Kong has set out to understand and benchmark Hong Kong’s digitalization journey. This year, our research places a renewed emphasis on the proliferation of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, and how the adoption of digital and machine learning can help the city move forward, seen through the lens of the city’s economy, education, and ecosystem.

After three years researching Hong Kong’s digital transformation journey, one of the key takeaways was the high priority both businesses and residents saw in ML and AI.

So this year, Google extended the Smarter Digital City research into a second phase, launching a new three-year research with KPMG to explore the city’s readiness and ability to embrace ML and AI.
