Rather than creating yet another social media campaign, we wanted to make a digital product based on social that could live on and eventually generate sales. KLM Travelpredictions is a digital service delivering targeted travel predictions based on your Facebook interest graph. The service is launched in 25 markets and is now earning revenue from actual sales.

Using the digital footprints you leave on Facebook, we are able to ‚predict‚ a future travel destination based on the interest graph. We used the Facebook API and also Frommers, which is a database covering thousands of events globally, matching and presenting in a fun, joyful manner.

The Results

Initially launched in the Nordics, this service is now globally engaging more than 100 countries. It was a dream-vision to create sales based on predictions but KLM are getting actual bookings from the service.
