AI Explored: How does AI help you predict customer journeys?
February 2024As interest in AI rises, we know that many marketers are exploring how they can use this technology to reach their digital marketing goals. With this in mind, we created a video series to answer marketers’ top questions about Google AI in under two minutes.
The path to purchase is often long and winding, making it increasingly difficult for marketers to identify the right moments to reach the right customers.
In this first episode of AI Explored, we break down how Google AI can help marketers like you overcome this challenge by spotting patterns in data, and using them to make smarter predictions to engage customers and strengthen your ads performance in real time.
Watch the next part of this video series to learn how to use first-party data to fuel your AI-powered campaigns, and uncover more AI-powered marketing insights on the Think with Google YouTube channel.
Way before customers hit that BUY button, they've traveled a long and winding digital road that led them to this decision. For the lone marketer trying to understand all the ways a customer can arrive at a purchase – it can feel a lot like searching for a single grain of sand.
But thanks to Google AI, this path from pondering to purchasing is a lot easier to understand. AI helps marketers by spotting patterns in data, making predictions about what people want and showing you how to engage those consumers in the most effective way possible.
Here's how it works: Google AI understands not just search context, but intent. So it can help pair your ads with the most relevant searches. For example: If Jamal searches for “bats,” depending on his intent, it could lead to either “13 Awesome Facts About Bats” OR to “Kids Bats – Top Brands at Low Prices!”
And if you run a store selling sporting goods, you only want to show up for people searching for a cricket bat — and not the ecologically beneficial nocturnal mammal.
For every Google search, AI instantly considers billions of combinations of signals, such as the search query, location, and device. AI analyzes and recognizes patterns in these signals, in order to predict the right time to show your ad across channels and to help make the right bid at the right moment.
In the fast moving world of digital advertising, there are a lot of decisions and predictions to make everyday.
AI excels at making these predictions, helping your business grow.
With Google AI, navigating customer journeys has never been easier. Check out our AI Essentials to get started.
